Happy New Year!

Can you believe it's already 2013? And I'm posting this more than a month after the fact?

I have definitely been slacking in the blogging department. Here are some exciting things happening with us as of late:

-Gavin is sure growing and developing! He has rolled over, got his 2 months shots, coos and kicks, stands with support, and has started playing with toys! He'll be getting his 4 month shots tomorrow. I'm betting he's at least 18 pounds, so we'll see what the doc says tomorrow.

I can never get enough pictures of this cute kid. I swear I'm not biased:

-Justin is still doing great at work, and got a new office. We went to their "End of the Year Gala" at the Marriott here in Richmond. It was awesome! We got to enjoy an open bar (imagine unlimited orange juice and Sprite-man, we were living the life! ;)), and some of the yummiest food we've had in a while. (I can admit that because I'm the one that cooks all the time-Justin can't admit that, or he'd be in trouble. ;)

Some of the family pictures we took in Utah:

-I donated my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I have had long hair my entire life, so this has been a fun change. I'm also happy since it will help a woman battling cancer. I actually just got a thank you letter from them as I was writing this post.

-We went to Utah and visited the Hixson clan for Christmas. We took family pictures, played, and J and his brothers built a computer. Ya gotta love Hixson family fun activities. Much fun was had by all...especially us on the flight with a baby who had an ear infection. ;) Our baby is so patient. Poor kid.

Gavin playing with his cousin, Logan:

-Justin and I got new callings since our ward changed. Justin is in the Young Men's presidency, and he loves it. They are going camping next week and he's excited! Some of J's sweet family got us camping gear for Christmas, so I'm glad he'll be putting it to good use soon. I just hope he doesn't freeze his begebies off in the process. I'm in the Primary presidency, and I love those kiddos. I think Primary is where it's at. :)

-Life is good. We love you all!!
Love, the Happy Hixsons :)
